I'm still trying to blog!  I started several years ago, but it's the nuts and bolts that throw me.  I can take the photos, write some clever words, provide a Stylecard...but I am not sure how make it look professional, get it out to the world..or how to follow other bloggers...etc.  I always swear "This time I'm gonna do it" but it never happens.  Someone asked for my blog in a questionnaire, so here it is..such as it is.

This outfit was put together for a magazine casting (which I was not selected for....darn it).  I thought it was pretty cute.  I like the top photo I got while playing with the lighting in Firestorm.

I was surprised to learn that Armidi Gisaci still has a presence in SL.  The items are not new, but still pretty timeless in my opinion. Here is the limo in case you want to check it out for old time's  sake or to see what was shakin' back in the day

I have a problem with blogs talking about things you can't see.  You can't see my eye makeup, but it's from Shellac, called; Put on Your Face Disco Silver.  My eyelashes are from Mock, called Priscilla.

From head to toe we have;

HAT:  LaGyo - Virginie big fold hat - Black
HAIR:  LeLutka, Vibrato (Sookie)
LIPSTICK:  Blacklace Beauty, Passion Lips (Deep Red)
SHADES:  Izzie's oversized sunglasses (black)
COAT:  Tee*fy Faux Fur Coat (Noir)
DRESS:  Erratic Cowl neck dress (glitter black)
BAG:  The Warehouse - Armidi Gisaci, Porta Corsico Bag (black)
NAILS:  Finesmith, Solid Black
SHOES:  Lila shoes (Black)

ENJOY!

HAIR RAISING BLOG!

I pretty much have fallen deeply and irreversibly in love with this new hair from Magika called Tendency.  I know it's a retro Farrah look...but I'm just smitten!.  I'm probably gonna have to make this my Blog profile photo....YAY!

Here is a little blurb on prim feet and toes. I'm sorry to say this..but I just don't like them. I know the designers have tried every way to makt them work....those menus just drive me wild. I know some day they will find a way to do it, but for now..I really don't want anything to do with them. At a runway show the other day I saw two, of the top models in SL wearing the crazy things, and it was evident in both cases that they were wearing invisiprims. I have added a couple of small photos to prove my point. The shoes are adorable..and I would buy them if I had the choice to use the invisiprims or not..but we don't get that choice unfortunately. The designers might make 2 pair..one with and one without (plain or peanut if you will)..and odds are the ones without would be the best sellers. With all the fiddling around we have to do with clothing and accessories..why in heaven's name do we want to have to mess with our shoes too???? I want to throw on my shoes and head out the door..not take 30 minutes or more to adjust the color of my feet and/or toes. So, I love you designers dearly...you keep me walking the runways of Second Life, but I'm afraid I'll be walking them minus the invisiprims..unless required to do so for the show. Yes our Avatar feet are ugly as sin, and I so hope you can make this feature work, but until they are easy as 1, 2, 3...thanks, but no thanks!

Photo Phobia

Ever since I was a tiny Noob, I have been taking photos. I'll add a couple of my initial attempts at te end..just for kicks and giggles. I still swear it should be possible to get good shots without the use of Gimp, PhotoShop, or what have you. I continue to be on a quest to find out how to accomplish that feat. In the meantime, I have decided I will just have to join the legions of others who have jumped on the PhotoShop bandwagon. I am afraid you are going to be coming along on my journey as I reluctantly wade in to the murky waters of photo enhancment....believe me when I say this will be a very long trip since I am not geekish in the least (but I so wish I was). I'm actually signed up for a PS class in the fall at a local community college, but so far there are only 4 of us signed up, and I think it requires 12 for a class to be viable. So, undaunted, if that happens I will ask if I can at least get a tutor. I know you are laughing at me...geez Gamp, the rest of us just muddled through to learn PS...take your lumps and get on with it. Remember I told you I am no geek...which means I get to a point and have no earthly clue how to go forward..get horribly frustrated..and have to, once again, put it on hold. Bear in mind I have had PS (the 6.0 version) for well over a year now, and so far I have learned how to switch to JPEG size and I can sort of crop a photo and actually get it back into Second Life..YAY ME!!..ugh.

So....I have tried a few things in world. I use the Caliyah settings for lighting (IM me or send a notecard in world if you don't have those settings) and that is a HUGE improvement..except you have to "turn on" the danged thing each time you come into SL...cuz it defaults back to the SL Viewer settings each time you log out. Well recently I downloaded (okay my friend downloaded) the Torley Linden lighting. This consists of over 100 light settings, most of which are really bogus, but there are a few good ones...as I will show you. With all the beauty present in SL, there will never be a paucity of backgrounds. I was shopping last night (so what else is new?) and I came across a lovely area filled with flowers, and had to whip out my trusty camera. Then there is the whole skin discussion..which can come in a later post...along with shapes...angles, etc.

Anyhoooo, I am going to try to add a few pertinent photos here..and this is what has always stopped me from blogging in the past..because obviously I know how to ramble on, so as usual it's just the nuts and bolts that defy me. If you see this post, you know I was successful, and you can pat me on the back and say "atta girl Gampy"

LATER THAT SAME DAY..................................
Ok so screw it folks...I can't figure out how to put tags on the photos...OR...how to put them in here where I want them and in the order I want...sigh...grumble
So for now...the photos of me as a blonde are those where I changed light settings..duh! The other 2 are my crazy nearly Newb photos..taken just after I had my first makeover in August 2007. I thought I was the hottest thing since ...errr blogging in cyberspace. Hope I look a little better now:P

Well thanks for peeking in...this should get better over time, but if not...well at least you can look in and shake your head and laugh..which is what it's all about anyway, right? Now slowly step away from your puter and do something constructive in RL..HAHAHAHA
